| Abstract: | The issue launches a series devoted to the struggle of the Don Cossacks against the Bolsheviks during the Civil War. The issue introduces to the reference material on the military structures of the Cossacks existing during the military actions of 1917–1920. The high command and state structures of the Cossack State formed in the Don Region – the All Great Don Cossack Host – are given, listing the command and regular officers of these structures and of the most fighting efficient part of the Don Cossacks – the Young Army. The issue also contains information and data on the structures reproducing the commanding officers – military schools. The publication is intended for the specialists on the history of the Civil War and the Don Cossacks, may be used as a teaching aid (text book) at the Cossack educational establishments.
