Every year it increases by around 20,000 internationally acquired volumes in the print sector alone. In addition, there are numerous electronic media publications.

Search directly for topics, regions or periods over a specific acquisition period. Or use the subscription function to receive regular email notifications about new acquisitions. You can receive a complete list of all newly acquired media or make an individual subscription selection. Of course, it is also possible to define multiple subscriptions in relation to diverse areas of interest.
As a rule, all of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek’s new acquisitions on Eastern Europe are available throughout Germany via interlibrary loan, with the exception of particularly rare holdings, such as valuable manuscripts.
