The Digital Collection contains a total of ten newspapers and specialist journals on Islam and Islamic life in Russia.

Content

Researchers working on Muslims and Islam in Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia can use the Universal Database of Russian Islamic Studies to access conveniently the latest scientific publications and journalistic news, so far difficult to access in Germany, via a web portal. Part of the database dates back to 2007 and is continuously updated with the latest articles.

The following Islamic journals are included:

1. Islam v sovremennom mire;
2. Islamovedenie;
3. Minaret Islama;
4. Islam v stranach Sodružestva Nezavisimych Gosudarstv.

The following newspapers are included:

1. As-Salam;
2. Islamskij vestnik;
3. Medina al‘ Islam;
4. Minbar Islama;
5. Poslanie / Riselet;
6. Zori Islama.

All editions of the digital collection can be searched in full text in Cyrillic and in transliteration; it is also possible to browse the individual editions of the database. Individual pages can be downloaded in the original layout as PDF files.

Access information

Das Angebot ist deutschlandweit und an deutschen Auslandsinstituten über das System der Nationallizenzen zugänglich. An wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken und Forschungseinrichtungen greifen Nutzer darauf ohne spezielle Anmeldung zu. Interessierte ohne Zugang über eine Heimatinstitution können sich für einen privaten Zugang registrieren, sofern sie ihren ständigen Wohnsitz in Deutschland nachweisen. Bitte folgen Sie dazu unter https://www.nationallizenzen.de/ind_inform_registration den einzelnen Anmeldungsschritten. Nach erfolgter Registrierung werden zeitnah per Post die persönlichen Zugangsdaten zu allen Nationallizenzen versandt, für die sich der Nutzer registriert hat.

Germany-wide access is made possible within the framework of the Specialised Information Service for Russian, East and Southeast European Studies at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and of the Specialized Information Service Middle East, North Africa and Islamic Studies at the University and State Library Saxony-Anhalt with funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG).
