In OstNet you can, for example, search for institutional websites, blogs or digital humanities projects on a specific topic or country, or search for databases for a specific research target.

OstNet is a database for academically relevant websites and online documents, in particular on the history, culture, politics and society of the countries and regions of Eastern, Central Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The internet resources are indexed formally and by subject matter in accordance with library standards. OstNet currently includes around 25,000 entries (as of March 2020).
The database is jointly maintained and continuously updated by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe - Institute of the Leibniz Association.
