OstNet is a catalogue for internet resources and lists academically relevant websites and online documents on Eastern, Central and Southeastern Europe. In OstNet you can, for example, search for institutional websites, blogs or digital humanities projects on a specific topic or country, or search for databases for a specific research target.

Researchers may submit unpublished manuscripts for primary publication in open access (The “Gold Road”) in the OstDok repository. In order to maintain a high scientific standard, all submitted first publications will be reviewed by an editorial board.
The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek transfers all publications to a long-term archive makes these available and citable by assigning persistent identifiers. The integration of the data in library catalogues and search engines ensures a wide dissemination.
Currently two digital series for electronic primary publications are available on OstDok.
In the Digital Series of Post-graduate Papers, outstanding Master's, Magister and diploma theses related to Eastern and Southeastern Europe are published. The academic quality of the publications is guaranteed by an editorial board consisting of the professors Martin Schulze Wessel, Dietmar Neutatz, Joachim von Puttkamer, Jörg Baberowski, Stefan Troebst, and Peter Haslinger. The series is supervised by the Collegium Carolinum.

The hybrid series DigiOst brings together editions, conference proceedings and anthologies on East and Southeast European Studies. The editors Prof. Dr. Ulf Brunnbauer, Prof. Dr. Martin Schulze Wessel and Prof. Dr. Peter Haslinger are responsible for the quality assurance of the series and review the submitted manuscripts in a peer review process. The titles are published both digitally on OstDok and in print by the publishing house “Frank & Timme, Verlag für wissenschaftliche Literatur”.
